SOMA Lab Opens at Ajou University

Prof. Jungmoo Heo joined Ajou University on March 1, 2026 as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Applied Chemistry and the Department of Molecular Science and Technology, and the SOMA Lab (Supramolecular Organic Materials & Assembly Lab) opened in Room 603, Yeonam Hall.

The lab studies how the way organic molecules pack and assemble determines their optical and mechanical function, and uses these rules to design materials that emit, absorb, and respond to light, heat, and chemical stimuli.
