SOMA Lab started at Ajou University in 2026 and is looking for its first members. If you want to design molecules and watch them assemble into materials that glow and change color, we would like to hear from you.

Positions
- Graduate students (M.S., Ph.D., and integrated M.S.–Ph.D.): now recruiting for March 2027 entry
- Undergraduate researchers: welcome at any time
Support: graduate students receive tuition support and a monthly stipend.
What you will work on
- Purely organic phosphors
- Circularly polarized luminescence
- Chromogenic polymers and sensors
- Sustainable adhesives and soft materials
Along the way you will learn organic synthesis, self-assembly and crystal and liquid-crystal engineering, photophysical measurements, and quantum-chemical calculations combined with machine learning.

연구 주제
연구를 하면서 유기 합성, 자기조립과 결정·액정 공학, 광물리 측정, 양자화학 계산과 머신러닝을 익히게 됩니다.
